The H. E. L. met in Oddfellows hall on
Feb. 14. Minutes of last meeting were
read and approved. Rest Room Com.[Committee]
reported having opened the Room Jan 17
read a long list of donations and asked
the Society for a grant of $35 to cover
initial expenses. On motion of Mrs. Brew
seconded by Mrs. Brisbin this amount was
granted and Sec. [Secretary] Treas. [Treasurer] instructed to pay
it to Treas. [Treasurer] of Rest Room Com. [Committee]. A vote of
thanks was given those who helped the Com. [Committee]
by cleaning sidewalks, keeping on fires etc.
during the recent cold spell, also to the
Council for their grant of $5 per month.
The Sec. [Secretary] was instructed to notify the Council
of this resolution and was also instructed
to write Mr. Rothwell a letter of condolence
on the loss of his wife - the first member
of our society to sign the roll and a member
of our first Executive.
