other fellows got a chance
to get up to the "big noise".
Since then my knowl-
edge of strafing has
been broadened. The first
time I was out on the
lines with a couple
of linesmen, Fritz dropped
an 8" shell near where
we were working.
There was just a swish
and a bang and the mud
flew in all directions.
