“FLU” VICTIM
MRS. EDWARD A. LYNCH DIED ON
SATURDAY – FORMER MEM-
BER PORTAGE TEACH-
ING STAFF
The death took place at Wetaski-
win, Alberta, on Saturday evening
of a former well known Portage
lady in the person of Katherine
Francis, wife of Edward Adam
Lynch, aged 33 years of pneumonia
following an attack of Spanish in-
fluenza. Funeral arrangements have
not yet been announced.
Mrs. Lynch was a former resident
of this city, before her marriage she
being a member of the Collegiate
teaching staff, and the news of her
demise will be received with much
regret by a host of Portage friends.
She is survived by her husband
and a young son, both of whom are
also suffering from the “flu”, and
her mother and sister, Mary of
Winnipeg, also four brothers, Capt. [Captain]
A. P. MacKinnon, Capt. [Captain] Percy Mac-
Kinnon, Malcolm and Alex, of Mac-
Gregor and a sister Isabelle, also of
MacGregor.
