TUESDAY, 7 (66—299)
Dark cloudy morning James rode to school…
In office all day. Recd. message from F.T.G re.Virginia
trip and after obtaining word from James Watt that
he will come up on Thursday. Sent definite msg. [message] to Mr. Griffin
that I would join him in Montreal on 1715 at Windsor
Hotel. Offered Mr. Thomspon charge of stores from depart-
ure of Mr. Jackson his rate of pay from to be
$45.00 per month. Preparing for trip South and to meet
party of boys on next Steamer. Gordon the worker at
the bush poor little fellow his whole pleasure seems
to be in work. I wonder will he continue.
Mr. Jackson busy making up his store
accts [accounts]. The boy Langley disappeared today and was
said to be walking down the track stating that
he had been “Kicked out of the Home.” Large number
of lads attended the concert in Russell tonight
in aid of the organ fund.
