Biography of Mcleod, Margaret Arnett, 1878-1966 (UNCONFIRMED)

Margaret Arnett MacLeod (1878-1966) was born in Ontario and came to Manitoba in 1885 with her parents. The family lived briefly in Winnipeg before moving to Brandon. She was a teacher in Stonewall before she married Dr. A. N. MacLeod when she was eighteen. When her husband joined the faculty of medicine at the University of Manitoba, they moved to Winnipeg. Margaret wrote three books and several articles and pamphlets on the history of Red River. The Letters of Letitia Hargrave, published in 1947 by the Champlain Society of Canada. In 1964 she was invested in the Order of the Buffalo.
