Biography of Martin, Joseph, 1852-1923

Joseph Martin (1852-1923) was elected to the Manitoba legislature in 1883 and became attorney general in the Greenway government in 1888. He sponsored the legislation that ended public support for separate schools in Manitoba. He sat in the House of Commons from 1893 to 1896 and then moved to Vancouver.
