Biography of Clément, Clara, 1867-1959

Born in Fall River, Massachussetts in 1867, Clara was the daughter of a farmer named Norbert Clémentand of Marie Chamberland. The Clément family moved to Manitoba with the help of La Société de colonisation du Manitoba in the 1870s and settled in the newly-formed parish of St. Joseph. Clara attended the convent operated by the Grey Nuns in Ste Anne des Chênes, Manitoba, in the early 1880s. She died in St. Boniface on May 1st, 1959.
